AI enablement

Most organisations are sitting on enormous untapped potential with AI. Not because the technology isn't ready, but because the gap between consumer-grade AI tools and what's actually possible is vast, and largely invisible.

Haunt Digital helps organisations move from curious to capable to transformed.

The three levels

1. Enabled: using AI to generate

You're using AI tools (chatbots, writing assistants, image generators) to produce things. This is where most people start, and it's valuable. But it's the surface.

2. Integrated: using AI to control your systems

This is where AI starts working with your existing tools, data, and processes. Instead of copying and pasting between systems, the AI reaches into them directly.

The complexity here varies enormously:

  • Simple: Turning on easy-to-configure connectors and integrations that let AI read and write to your existing tools.
  • Moderate: Custom API proxies and tailored AI skills that bridge gaps between your systems and what AI can work with natively.
  • Advanced: Purpose-built software designed specifically for AI to make use of, reducing complexity to a level where the AI performs reliably and powerfully.

3. Enlightened: AI-native workflows

This is the destination. Your data lives directly at the AI's fingertips. You begin replacing existing management surfaces (your project tools, your CRM, your document systems) with services designed for the agent to use.

More local. More headless. More plain text. Less UI for humans to click through.

You stop managing tickets, leads, and operational data yourself, and start handing that off to the AI. This is the enlightenment step.

What this looks like varies widely depending on what your organisation does. There's no single pattern, but it's probably far more viable than you think, right now.

Why work with us

We translate so you don't have to

The most powerful AI tools sit just below the consumer surface. Using AI through a browser (ChatGPT, Claude, or any other portal) is operating at the very peak layer of a computer, on top of multiple layers of user experience, each one simplifying things down.

Drop a couple of layers deeper, into the command line, into plain text files, into developer tools, and the AI's capabilities increase dramatically. The closer you can align your work with the lower levels of the computer, the better AI performs.

Our job is to bridge that gap for you. You stay focused on your work and your clients. We handle the plumbing, set up the tools, and make sure everything is practical for your team to use day to day. You don't need to become technical. You just need the right people alongside you.

We know what AI is good at

The most powerful AI models have been trained primarily on software development contexts. There's a whole range of tools and patterns in the developer world that AI is exceptionally good at using. Tools you probably haven't encountered, but which are simple, reliable, and often free.

We know that landscape. We'll point you to the right tools and set them up in ways that make sense for how you actually work.

Security and honest advice

AI introduces real questions around privacy, data security, and architectural decisions. We'll give you straight advice on these early, before they become problems.

And if something isn't viable, we'll tell you. We don't oversell, we don't pad estimates, and we won't recommend work that doesn't need doing. You'll always know where you stand.

The results are real

Tim Grubb, Haunt Digital's CEO, comes from a communications and research background, not a technical one. Using these tools, he is now at least three times more productive, and still early in the journey. He serves as fractional head of marketing for a 200-person organisation while taking on additional fractional roles for other clients.

This isn't about getting bots to churn out content. It's about planning, delegating, monitoring, researching, and producing high-quality work at scale and speed.

Any knowledge worker could at least double their output while maintaining quality. We don't expect you to take our word for it. We'll sit down with you, take a real strategic challenge, and solve it together in real time.

Who is this for?

This service is most powerful for organisations that:

  • Have agency over their own direction and can act on new capability quickly
  • Provide knowledge as a service: consulting, contracting, advisory, public sector engagement
  • Are data-rich and would benefit from better ways to access and act on their information
  • Want to be positioned at the front of the pack as AI continues to advance rapidly

How we work

1. First contact (free)

A coffee or a call to get acquainted. We'll hear about your world, what you're working on, what's frustrating, where you think AI might help. We'll often point you toward useful tools to try, because the more you use AI yourself, the more the real gaps and opportunities reveal themselves.

2. Diagnostic (free)

This is where we bring in the team and look at the problem carefully. We'll meet online so you can screen share and walk us through your systems, architecture, and workflows. We discuss the problems in detail and identify what we might be able to do about them.

3. Scope and proposal

From the diagnostic, we put together a statement of work for the first sprint, with clear goals and an estimate of the time it will take to get there. If we need a bit of technical investigation before we can scope confidently, we'll say so upfront.

4. Deliver

Once the scope is agreed, we get to work. Every sprint delivers something tangible: working capability, not a report or a plan. Sprints are typically short (a 2 or 4 hour block) because in this world, things move fast. A few hours often goes a surprisingly long way.

At the end of each sprint, you'll see real progress and decide together what comes next. You shape the direction at every step.

5. Ongoing retainer (optional)

We encourage clients to keep us on a light retainer to keep systems maintained, evolving, and as well-tuned as the AI landscape shifts.

Retainers are tailored to each client, and usually include a set of support hours each month that are available for making changes to your systems, answering questions, or simply talking through what's possible as the landscape evolves. You get a known, reliable point of contact without needing to scope and start a new engagement every time something comes up.

If we've set up systems using developer tools, we'll usually give you access to a small set of Haunt tools that keep things running smoothly. But you can walk away at any time. You own all the artefacts, and most can be consumed by consumer-grade tools.
