How we work
We’re a fully remote company, with team members across New Zealand. We have a strong connection to Wellington, where we first set up our office before going remote, but we're basically New Zealand-remote now.
Also, around one third of our work is in Australia where we have agency partnerships, as well as hosting, maintenance and support clients.
We love remote working and the lifestyle it provides us, but also value the chance to connect in real life. We make sure we get together at least once, but usually several times a year to hang out as a team.
Our approach to delivery
Our values are based around delivering projects effectively and really understanding what drives clients.
We think we’re a little different from some agencies in that we:
- Are developer-led, which means that while we love UX and design, we also really lean into the growing value that effective technical solutions and platforms can have for organisations. In practice this means that we know what different platforms can offer, and ensure that clients have access to all the benefits of modern web architecture.
- We’re pragmatic and thoughtful about how we work. We opt for Minimum Viable Processes wherever possible. We are quick to ditch systems and approaches that don’t add value to clients, but we go deep on the parts of projects that we think make the difference for our clients.
- We invest heavily in scoping work using the AgencyAgile methodology, which means that we consistently deliver projects on time and budget with no surprises. We think a lot of projects fail because of a lack of adequate scoping and a lack of shared understanding of what is being built, and how much it will cost. Time after time, we've been able to prove that projects can be delivered without the stress by having the right conversations at the right time.
